Technology Transfer and Industrial Relations in Research Infrastructures

Trieste, 6 - 7 June 2013


The ERF Workshop “Technology Transfer and Industrial Relations in Research Infrastructures” will bring together experts from research infrastructures, policy makers and industry to share real experiences, best practices and new challenges in the collaboration between industry and research. The scope of the workshop is also to underline the role of Research Infrastructures in the context of Innovation activities in Europe.

Directions


From the Ronchi dei Legionari Airport, Trieste.

The nearest airport is Ronchi dei Legionari (Trieste), located 32 km away from the NH Hotel.

From this airport: Public transportation: APT, Bus number 51. The ride takes 50-60 minutes. The ticket: €3.80 (one way), can be purchased from the 24-hour automatic ticket machine (arrivals hall of the passenger terminal)

From the Marco Polo Airport, Venice.

Marco Polo Airport is located 150 km away from the NH Hotel.

From this airport: There is no direct public service to Trieste from Venice airport. Take ATVO fly bus, until Mestre train station. The ride takes 25-30 minutes. Then, the train from Venezia Mestre to Trieste centrale; 2 hours ride approx.

From the Antonio Canova Airport, Treviso.

Antonio Canova Airport is located 160 km away from the NH Hotel.

From this airport: There is no direct public service to Trieste from Treviso airport. Take ATVO airport bus express, until Mestre train station. The ride takes 25-30 minutes. Then, the train from Venezia Mestre to Trieste centrale; 2 hours ride approx.

If you wish to get to ESO Headquarters, you need to take the turnoff Garching-Nord (Garching-North), which leads you directly to the "Forschungsinstitute" area. Go straight ahead at the traffic lights and continue until the road makes a sharp turn to the left. Do not turn left: ESO is straight ahead.

Organising Institutions

The ERF-AISBL Association has the not-for-profit purpose to promote the cooperation and the projects between european-level research infrastructures which are open, at international level, to external researchers. These infrastructures include national infrastructures as wel as european networks and consortia of research infrastructures.

Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste is a multidisciplinary international center of excellence, specialized in generating high quality synchrotron and free-electron laser light and applying it in materials science.
